Please join us for the 2017 Natural Capital Symposium at Stanford University
March 20-23, 2017
Featuring keynote speakers Carter Roberts, President and CEO of World Wildlife Fund, and Mark Tercek, President and CEO of The Nature Conservancy, this event is a major convening of leaders advancing the science and practice of incorporating nature’s diverse values into decisions. Interactive sessions throughout the symposium will focus on five central themes: sustainable development planning, securing freshwater, fostering resilient coastal communities, developing sustainable cities, and creating standards for the private sector.
Last year’s symposium drew nearly 300 people from 32 countries, representing universities, NGOs, businesses, governments, and other institutions. We heard from over 100 presenters about advances in the science, the development of tools, and how natural capital understanding is being used to inform decisions around the world.
We are currently accepting abstract submissions for lightning talks, as well as a limited number of spots in panel sessions, workshops, and other sessions during the 2017 Natural Capital Symposium. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The submission deadline is 31 October, 2016. All submitters will be notified about acceptance status by 18 November, 2016. To submit your abstract, please complete this short online form.
