Biological soil crusts or “biocrusts” are a consortium of bacteria, lichens, fungi, mosses, cyanobacteria. These biocrusts form a layer between the soil and atmosphere, providing vital ecosystem services. Biocrusts can be found globally in drylands across the world including Antarctica and tundra environments. Join us in this webinar to learn from leading experts about the role of biocrusts in soil and future of this field.
